Marry in the garden

At the heart of the venue is the enchanting Walled Garden. Originally a working vegetable garden, it was transformed for owners Claire and Richard’s own wedding and now provides a beautifully secluded setting for outdoor ceremonies.

A lavender-lined aisle leads towards a handcrafted glazed oak arbour, with rolling Devon countryside providing the backdrop to the vows. The garden’s terraces and mature planting create a naturally romantic atmosphere, while microphones discreetly incorporated into the arbour ensure every guest can hear the ceremony.

Afterwards, drinks and garden games can unfold on the formal lawn overlooking the lake and fountain, with plenty of picturesque corners for photographs.

For indoor ceremonies, the lovingly restored Cider Barn offers a characterful alternative. The traditional cob building pairs rustic stone and timber with generous windows, underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove, making it an inviting setting in every season.

Feast and celebrate

The light-filled Stable Barn can accommodate up to 156 guests for the wedding breakfast. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views across the paddocks, while a choice of round or trestle tables allows couples to shape the layout around their preferred dining style.

The room combines clean, contemporary lines with the warmth of natural timber, providing an elegant canvas for everything from understated styling to abundant flowers and colour.

The Press Bar serves guests from their arrival until midnight, offering a choice of locally produced drinks alongside familiar favourites. After dinner, the Cider Barn becomes the setting for live music, a DJ and dancing, allowing the Stable Barn to retain its relaxed dining atmosphere.

Up to 44 additional guests can join the evening celebrations, bringing the venue’s total capacity to 200.

The Foundry

Adding a modern-industrial edge to the venue is The Foundry, a striking social space created around food, fire and connection.

Panoramic windows frame views across the Blackdown Hills, while a bespoke fire kitchen and wood-fired pizza oven bring a sense of theatre to the dining experience. The Foundry can seat up to 120 guests for feasting-style dining and also provides a stylish setting for informal evening food.

The Stalls comprise four Scandi-inspired woodland pods sleeping eight guests in total. Nestled within a tranquil glade, they offer a cosy and contemporary retreat after the party.

The Bower provides a romantic hideaway for the newlyweds, while The Nest sleeps up to four and offers a flexible option for family members or the wedding party.
