The ceremony room provides an intimate setting for weddings of up to 20 guests, with the sea and surrounding coastline remaining an important part of the experience. It also offers a comfortable alternative should the weather prevent an outdoor ceremony.

Couples marrying outside can exchange vows against a sweeping Atlantic backdrop before moving into the gardens for drinks, photographs and celebrations.

For larger weddings, the ceremony may also take place inside the marquee. Registrars must be booked separately, and couples should discuss their chosen location and wet-weather arrangements with the venue during the planning process.

Elope to the Cornish coast

Beacon Crag is particularly well suited to couples dreaming of a romantic elopement in Cornwall.

The ceremony-only elopement package includes a civil ceremony inside or outdoors for up to 20 people, along with celebratory bubbles, flowers and time to explore the gardens for photographs. The venue can also help to provide witnesses where required.

Couples wishing to stay can choose an elopement package combining their ceremony with two nights’ accommodation, a hot-tub experience overlooking the ocean and private dining for two.

The Cliff Top Escape offers accommodation in the self-catering apartment, which has its own private decking, alongside breakfast, a ceremony and time to enjoy the grounds together.

These packages allow couples to move seamlessly from their vows into a peaceful Cornish minimoon without leaving the venue.

Intimate weddings at Beacon Crag

Couples planning a small wedding with family and friends can choose the Beacon Crag Exclusive package.

This includes two nights’ accommodation for the couple and six guests across three rooms, along with an indoor or outdoor ceremony for up to 20 people. A private dining experience may also be arranged for as many as ten guests.

The separate self-catering apartment can be added to provide accommodation for another two people.

With everyone staying together at the house, intimate celebrations can unfold at a relaxed pace, from gathering on the evening before the wedding to breakfast overlooking the sea the following morning.

Marquee weddings with sea views

For larger celebrations, Beacon Crag’s clifftop gardens provide a dramatic site for a marquee overlooking the ocean.

Couples can select their preferred marquee company and create a reception that reflects their own style, whether that means a relaxed sailcloth structure, a classic country wedding or a contemporary celebration framed by panoramic sea views.

Electricity and water are supplied to the marquee site, while the marquee, furniture, catering equipment and other infrastructure are arranged separately. This gives couples the freedom to assemble their own team of caterers, planners, florists, stylists and entertainment suppliers.

Marquee wedding packages include three nights’ accommodation for the couple and six guests in the main house. The self-catering apartment, which sleeps two, can also be included.

Stay beside the sea

Onsite accommodation allows couples and a small group of loved ones to settle into Beacon Crag before the wedding and remain together once the celebrations have ended.

The house offers individually styled bedrooms with en-suite facilities and views across the sea or surrounding coastline. A separate self-catering apartment sleeps two and includes its own private decking.

Depending on the chosen package, accommodation is available for up to ten people across four rooms and the apartment.

Staying at the venue removes the need to travel on the wedding morning and gives couples the opportunity to enjoy Beacon Crag as a private coastal retreat rather than simply a setting for the day itself.

Bring your own drinks

Beacon Crag does not have a permanent bar, allowing couples to provide their own drinks without paying corkage.

For larger marquee weddings, couples will need to arrange any required bar service, glassware, refrigeration and staffing through their caterer or a mobile bar company.
