A hidden meadow hugged by rolling farmland, with sweeping views across to Crantock, Newquay and the Atlantic beyond – Little Oak Cornwall is a dreamscape of tranquility and seclusion, perfect for a wildly beautiful wedding immersed in nature.
This styled shoot captures the untouched beauty of the landscape. A lush woodland glade becomes the ceremony backdrop, where dappled sunlight pours through the canopy, casting a golden glow over the scene. A simple altar of soft ivory fabric draped between the trees sets the effortlessly romantic mood, with woven rattan pendant lights lending a touch of bohemian charm. It’s here a celebrant leads a soulful hand-tying ceremony. “The Celtic traditions seamlessly blended with the natural surroundings, making the moment feel even more meaningful and timeless,” says Jess Baber of Tide the Knot, who coordinated and styled the shoot.
Florals take centre stage, enhancing the organic, enchanted-forest aesthetic. “The wild, natural florals in muted purples, whites and greens creates a dreamy atmosphere and complements the earthy tones of the surroundings,” says Jess.
The reception unfolds in the meadow, where a Nordic giant hat tipi nestles into the landscape, its open sides framing panoramic views across the surrounding countryside. Inside, rustic elegance meets bohemian charm, with flowing fabric runners, natural-toned tableware, dusty blue linen napkins and ceramic vases brimming with alliums and soft lilac blooms. Fairy lights twinkle above and slender white candles in wooden holders glow with soft candlelight. “With its natural textures and thoughtful details, this set-up is perfect for a wildly intimate gathering, blending simplicity with refined sophistication,” adds Jess.
A vintage VW campervan brings a free-spirited, nostalgic spirit, while glamping pods – all chic design and luxe comfort – offer a stylishly snug retreat for the wedding night. The perfect, starry-eyed ending to a whimsical celebration in the Cornish wilds.
