The flowers - a stunning combination of roses, greenery and lush texture - played an essential role in creating the opulent aesthetic. The exquisite cake, meanwhile, echoed the style of Russian wedding cakes, sitting perfectly against the rich palette and magnificent backdrop. Adding to the drama, the handmade stationery blended black watercolour hues with gold accents, while the vintage mirror used for the table plan made a stylish nod to the ballroom's Venetian mirrors. "The tables were draped in black tablecloths, black and white crockery for contrast and heavy black glass bottles were repurposed as candle holders and flower containers for a modern twist," says Bridget. "All of these items can be sourced or hired from our range of accessories."
Looking every inch the modern bride, the bride wore a sleek, sculptural gown with pockets set into the pleats teamed with a dramatic black headdress and earrings customised by Bridget. The second look - a flowing skirt and delicate sheer knit top - makes a contemporary and playful statement. A delicate Russian wedding ring made by Erin Cox tied in perfectly with the concept. For the evening, a less formal, teased out hairstyle and dramatic make-up was paired with a customised mistletoe headdress. The groom, meanwhile, wore a classic black suit and velvet jacket with a fur top hat for a final flourish.
