As you take the long sweeping drive that leads up to Coombe Lodge, you know you are somewhere special; somewhere that could be exclusively yours for your special celebration. Designed by the architect Sir George Oatley, Coombe Lodge was originally built between 1928 and 1932, and became home to the notable Wills family for the next 30 years. While retaining the splendour and elegance of its past, the house has been sensitively transformed into a beautiful, contemporary venue, with striking atmospheric lighting and original floors.
Set in more than 20 acres of glorious landscaped gardens, this magnificent country house has a romance that we believe will be hard to beat. With a combination of grand vistas, tree-lined pathways and secret gardens with breathtaking views across the Somerset countryside, the backdrop for your wedding couldn’t be more perfect.
This romantic manor house is not only stunning but also very convenient, making Coombe Lodge the ideally situated venue for any occasion, just 13 miles south-west of central Bristol, two miles off the A38 and within four miles of Bristol International Airport.
Weddings are our passion. Whether you have 50 or 160 guests, there is a great choice of locations to hold your wedding ceremony, including the Billiard Room, the Music Room or outside in the courtyard under the charming veranda – so come rain or shine there is always the perfect option. You can then enjoy reception drinks and some delicious canapes before being invited into the spacious Music Room with its panoramic views to enjoy a lavish wedding breakfast.
Coombe Lodge’s reputation has been built upon great service, outstanding food, drink and attention to detail, so that couples will have nothing but wonderful memories of their special day.
