Each ceremony space has a character of its own, allowing couples to choose between panoramic sea views, lush tropical surroundings and an internationally renowned artwork.

The range of options makes the venue equally suited to a private elopement, an intimate ceremony with close family and friends or a larger marquee wedding overlooking St Michael’s Mount.

Marry within the gardens

The Garden Pagoda sits among the subtropical planting beneath a cedar-shingle roof. It accommodates six guests inside, with a viewing area outside allowing up to 52 additional guests to share the ceremony.

The Chelsea Garden offers a secluded tropical setting surrounded by ponds and aquatic planting, while the Skyspace Balcony and St Michael’s Lookout make the most of the far-reaching coastal views.

One of the venue’s most remarkable ceremony spaces is James Turrell’s Tewlwolow Kernow. The elliptical chamber frames the sky through an opening in its domed ceiling and is the only James Turrell Skyspace in the UK licensed for weddings. It accommodates up to 48 guests.

For an indoor ceremony or wet-weather alternative, the oak-framed Tremenheere Gallery welcomes up to 58 guests.

Celebrate overlooking St Michael’s Mount

Following the ceremony, couples and their guests can enjoy drinks and photographs while exploring the gardens. The changing light, sculptural installations and rich planting provide an almost endless variety of backdrops.

Tremenheere Kitchen can host receptions for up to 70 people, increasing to 100 with the addition of a stretch tent. Restaurant hire, catering and reception packages are arranged directly with its team.

For a larger celebration, the Marquee Lawn accommodates up to 118 guests and enjoys uninterrupted views towards St Michael’s Mount. The lawn is licensed for both ceremonies and receptions, allowing the entire wedding to take place in one setting.

Marquee hire operates on a dry-hire basis, giving couples the freedom to select their own structure, caterer, bar and other suppliers, with advice available from the Tremenheere team.

Plan an intimate celebration

Tremenheere is particularly well suited to couples who want a smaller wedding without compromising on atmosphere or scenery.

Elopements can take place in the Garden Pagoda, Chelsea Garden, Skyspace Balcony or St Michael’s Lookout, with witnesses provided by the venue if required. Additional guests can also be included for couples wishing to share the moment with a small group.

Although there is no accommodation onsite, Penzance, Marazion and the surrounding area offer a broad choice of hotels, guest houses and holiday properties within easy reach.
