Marry on the beach

One of Beachside’s most distinctive features is the opportunity to hold a ceremony on the sands of St Ives Bay.

Couples can walk between the dunes to exchange vows with the sea stretching behind them, creating an unmistakably Cornish setting for the ceremony. Afterwards, the beach and surrounding towans provide endless possibilities for relaxed photographs and quiet moments together.

The manicured green offers another outdoor option, combining open skies and sea views with the convenience of remaining close to Coast. Chair hire on the green is included within the principal wedding packages.

For an indoor ceremony, Coast provides a bright contemporary space overlooking the water. Its generous windows allow the coastal scenery to remain part of the occasion while providing a comfortable alternative in changeable weather.

Celebrate at Coast

Coast is a modern restaurant, bar and wedding space positioned just above the beach. Filled with natural light and framed by views across the bay, it can host up to 100 guests for the ceremony and daytime reception before welcoming as many as 180 for the evening party.

Glass doors connect the restaurant with the terrace and balcony, allowing drinks and canapés to spill outside when the weather permits. In cooler months, guests can remain inside and watch the changing light and waves from the warmth of the venue.

Facilities include a licensed bar, flexible dining and dance-floor layouts, sound equipment, accessible toilets and an under-fives’ soft-play area. The latter makes Coast particularly convenient for couples celebrating with young families.

The venue is available until midnight, with the bar serving until 11pm.

Flexible ways to celebrate

Beachside offers several levels of venue hire, allowing couples to choose the degree of privacy that suits their plans and budget.

Exclusive hire gives the wedding party private use of Coast for the celebration. This is available during the winter months from November to February, with three-day midweek and one-day Saturday options.

Semi-exclusive hire provides private use of the restaurant, front bar, terrace, balcony and principal facilities, while other designated areas remain open to holiday-park guests.

For smaller celebrations, non-exclusive hire includes a private section of the restaurant alongside shared use of the bar, terrace and balcony.

Whichever option couples select, wedding coordination, equipment and practical support are included.

Food and drink by the sea

The in-house team offers a broad range of food and drink options that can be tailored to different tastes, wedding styles and budgets.

Couples might begin with welcome drinks and canapés before sitting down to a three-course meal. More relaxed options include hot and cold buffets, a barbecue feast, sharing-style food and evening finger buffets.

Cornish pasties and cream teas bring a taste of the county to the celebrations, while vegetarian, vegan and other dietary requirements can be accommodated.

Drinks packages can include arrival drinks, table wine and a celebratory toast, with children’s drinks and after-dinner tea and coffee also available.

Planning and coordination

Beachside’s wedding coordination service supports couples from their initial venue tour through to the celebrations themselves.

Planning may include meetings, preparation of the wedding-day timeline, liaison with suppliers and management of deliveries and setup. On the day, the coordinator welcomes and directs guests, manages suppliers and keeps the different stages of the celebration flowing smoothly.

Toastmaster duties can also be provided if required, allowing couples and their wedding party to relax without needing to oversee the schedule themselves.

Stay beside the sea

Beachside Holiday Park offers an extensive choice of accommodation for couples and their guests, all within walking distance of Coast and the beach.

Options range from self-catering chalets, bungalows and apartments to contemporary lodges overlooking the water. Touring and camping pitches are also available for tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes.

Wedding couples and their guests receive a discount against standard accommodation and pitch prices, making it easier to gather loved ones together across the park.

Onsite facilities include a restaurant and bar, children’s play areas, a games room and, during the warmer months, a heated outdoor swimming pool. Hayle Surf School also operates from the park, while St Ives, Gwithian and Godrevy are all within easy reach.

Elope to Cornwall

For couples dreaming of something smaller, Beachside offers three, four and seven-night elopement retreats.

Packages combine private accommodation in a seafront lodge with a ceremony in the lodge, on the green or on the beach for up to 12 people. Flowers, wedding coordination and a meal or afternoon tea in Coast are also included.

With the lodge overlooking St Ives Bay and direct access to the sands below, couples can move straight from their ceremony into a romantic minimoon beside the sea.
