The venue sits at the end of a half-mile private drive, creating a wonderful sense of seclusion while remaining around ten minutes from Tiverton and within easy reach of the M5 and Tiverton Parkway railway station.

Marry amid the countryside

The barn offers an atmospheric setting for indoor ceremonies, with exposed beams, stone walls and flagstone floors providing natural character without the need for elaborate decoration.

Outside, couples can select from five licensed ceremony spaces. Options include a circular woodland clearing, open countryside, towering trees and a peaceful lakeside setting, each offering a different perspective across the estate.

The surrounding meadows, woodland, lake and traditional farm buildings provide a wealth of photographic backdrops. Couples can even include dogs, horses or ponies in the day, with onsite stabling available for equine guests.

For something distinctive, Hawke Barn can also arrange an Anvil Blessing – a symbolic ceremony inspired by historic blacksmithing traditions.

Celebrate in the barn or beneath canvas

Hawke Barn seats up to 60 guests, making it particularly suited to intimate celebrations where everyone can gather within one characterful space.

For larger spring and summer weddings, a stretch tent can be positioned on the front lawn or within the woodland. Different layouts can accommodate up to 100 or 150 guests while retaining a close connection to the landscape.

Couples have the freedom to choose from a curated selection of caterers and food suppliers. Dining might take the form of an elegant wedding breakfast, generous sharing platters, a barbecue, wood-fired pizzas, street food or a relaxed afternoon tea.

A dedicated coordinator helps couples bring the different elements together, while exclusive use ensures the wedding party can enjoy the farm in privacy.

Stay at Thorne Farm

Onsite accommodation for up to 20 guests allows the celebration to continue beyond the wedding day.

The West Wing of Thorne Farmhouse sleeps four and includes a four-poster bridal suite, a second en-suite bedroom and comfortable spaces for getting ready. The restored Farm Office and Hayloft cottages sleep up to 16 additional guests and each has a private courtyard and hot tub.

Camping and glamping can also be arranged, adding a relaxed festival feel and allowing more guests to remain onsite. Multi-day hire creates time for welcome drinks, a leisurely wedding morning and a relaxed gathering before everyone departs.
