That means the huge moments, of course, but also the brilliant little ones: the nervous glance before the ceremony, your dad trying not to cry, the flower girl doing something completely unexpected, your friends roaring with laughter and the two of you disappearing outside for ten minutes just as the light turns golden.

I love documentary photography, but I also love creating something beautiful.

So alongside all those completely natural, unposed moments, we’ll sneak away for some gorgeous portraits of the two of you. Nothing stiff or overly posed — just a little direction when you need it, plenty of laughter and photographs that still feel completely like you.

From intimate, just-the-two-of-you elopements to huge celebrations and packed dance floors, I’ve photographed weddings at many of Cornwall and Devon’s most beautiful venues.

Beaches, barns, castles, vineyards, country houses and clifftops — they’re all very familiar territory.

And after more than 800 weddings, I’ve learned something important:

There is no such thing as a perfect wedding. There are just wonderfully real ones.

The weather might change. Timings might slip. The dog might refuse to look at the camera. It’s all part of your story — and sometimes the unexpected bits make the very best photographs.
