Glorious colours and the beauty of nature take centre stage in this vibrant styled shoot at Wooladon Estate. A tucked-away idyll nestled amongst 500 acres of farmland and woodland on the border of Devon and Cornwall, the venue offers an enchanting backdrop for a close-to-nature wedding – making it the perfect canvas for this shoot.
“My concept was All Things Bright and Beautiful inspired by summery, vibrant colours but also with a link to James Herriot’s novel which includes a lifestyle based around animals,” explains Hannah Jenkins of Rabbit House Studio Photography who photographed and coordinated the shoot. “Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I love it when a couple tell me they are bringing their pets to their wedding day and one of the aims of this shoot was to tap into this a little.”
The carnival of colour carries from the blooms, glassware and ribbons of the tablescape to the floral arch, which makes a glorious ceremony backdrop with the gently draping willow tree across the still waters of the lake beyond. Stationery painted with florals and a colourful buttercream cake echo the playful charm of the scene.
Donning Katie Woods Bridal’s romantic and sustainable Devon-made designs, the bride is effortlessly beautiful with her locks dancing at her shoulders, while her groom wears light grey with floral accents for a modern country-chic look. The rabbit and pony, however, are the stars of the show, bringing an adorable touch to a romantic, character-filled wedding immersed in the wonder of the natural world.
