Smaller ceremonies can take place in the Michael Young Room, while couples dreaming of an outdoor wedding can exchange vows within the estate’s Grade II* listed gardens. The Summerhouse provides another romantic option for elopements and intimate ceremonies.

The gardens, courtyards and historic architecture also offer a wealth of beautiful backdrops for wedding photographs throughout the seasons.

Celebrate in the Great Hall

Following the ceremony, guests can gather for drinks in the gardens or medieval courtyard before moving into the Great Hall for the wedding breakfast.

The hall accommodates up to 144 guests for dining, with its generous proportions creating an impressive setting for speeches, dinner and dancing. Evening celebrations can welcome larger numbers, with the venue accommodating up to 300 guests overall.

Food is prepared by the award-winning White Hart team, with menus celebrating seasonal ingredients and produce sourced from Devon and the surrounding region. Couples can work with the team to create a dining experience that reflects the style of their celebration.

Stay at Dartington

Dartington Hall’s heritage hotel offers 49 individually styled bedrooms arranged around the medieval courtyard, allowing couples and their guests to remain together after the celebrations.

Selected wedding packages include extended stays and exclusive access to key areas of the estate, making it possible to plan welcome drinks, rehearsal dinners or a relaxed breakfast the following morning.
