Marry at Burncoose

Burncoose House is licensed for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships with up to 50 guests. Afterwards, drinks and canapés can be served in the reception rooms or on the terrace overlooking the gardens.

Intimate wedding breakfasts can take place in the dining room or light-filled conservatory, with the dining room seating up to 16 guests.

Elopement packages combine a ceremony in the conservatory or grounds with two nights’ accommodation, witnesses, wedding support, champagne, flowers and time in the gardens for photographs. Private dining, photography, flowers, cake and spa treatments can also be arranged.

For larger celebrations, the front lawn can accommodate a marquee reception for up to 150 guests. Couples can choose their own marquee, caterers, styling and entertainment, while the Burncoose team assists with supplier access and practical arrangements.

Stay at the estate

Burncoose House sleeps up to 14 guests across seven individually decorated en-suite bedrooms.

The house also has a spacious kitchen, dining room, drawing room, library and conservatory, alongside a hot tub, table tennis and table football.

Additional accommodation is available in Stable Flat One, Stable Flat Two, the Coach House and Treweege Barns. Hiring several properties allows more family and friends to stay within the estate while retaining their own private space.

Burncoose’s 30 acres of woodland gardens include winding lanes, ponds, lawns and grassy clearings, offering a wealth of backdrops for wedding photographs.

Spring brings displays of magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias, followed by colourful hydrangeas in summer. Autumn foliage and winter frost lend the estate a different atmosphere later in the year.
