The sky, the sea and us

Set atop the dramatic cliffs of St Agnes Head, this golden hour styled shoot is a study in contrast and connection – where raw nature meets refined romance. Taking the natural surroundings as muse, the couple both blends into and stands apart from a backdrop of pewter seas, peach-tinged skies and wildflower-strewn clifftops. 
 
“The vision was to capture an elopement that felt both grounded in nature and elevated in style,” explains stylist and coordinator Kerry Edney of Kerry Edney Weddings.
 
The bride’s Chantilly lace gown evokes effortless romance, elevated with intricate, light-catching embellishments that mirror the luminous coastal skies. Dainty pearl jewellery continues the play of opalescence, while flowing curls and barely-there make-up complement the shoot’s back-to-nature aesthetic. In contract, her partner’s forest green suit echoes the landscape – tailored to mark the occasion yet styled with relaxed elegance thanks to an open collar and sky-blue pumps. 
 
Artisanal details tie the scene together: textured stationery in sage and sea blue, an understated three-tiered cake and a bouquet of creamy roses, soft hydrangeas and wild greenery. A cliffside picnic offers a quiet moment of post-ceremony intimacy, styled with earthy textures and minimal, organic touches. Clotted cream shades and dusty pinks play beautifully against raffia charger plates, a hessian rug and rustic pots.
 
“This shoot speaks to the modern couple seeking connection over tradition – a love story that is both wild and rooted, set against one of North Cornwall’s most breathtaking coastal views,” says Kerry.
 
As the sun dips, the couple steal a final look, shades of pink and blue dusting the scene in a romantic finale to a wild and stirring wedding by the sea.
