At the heart of the estate stands the historic Manor House, whose story stretches back some 800 years. Around it, ancient stone buildings, gardens, woodland, lawns and the river provide an atmospheric collection of spaces for ceremonies, receptions and photographs.

Couples can choose from nine licensed ceremony locations. Exchange vows beneath the Summerhouse overlooking the valley, beneath the 450-year-old archway of the Manor's front door or beside the Rose Arbour in the walled garden. Inside, options range from the rustic Cowyard Barn and old Stables to the intimate Drawing Room within the historic house.

The 200-year-old Cowyard Barn offers a beautifully rustic indoor setting, its old stone walls and timber beams complemented by festoon lighting and simple wooden furniture. For larger celebrations, the sweeping marquee lawn provides space to create a bespoke reception for up to 350 guests against the backdrop of the surrounding valley.

A wedding your way

Pengenna operates as a flexible blank-canvas venue, allowing couples to choose the suppliers, styling and format that suit their celebration rather than being tied to a rigid wedding formula.

The venue team is on hand throughout the planning process, helping couples navigate the practical details, recommend trusted suppliers and bring everything together. During the stay, the team can also help with setup and coordinate the wedding day itself, from the ceremony through to the evening celebrations.

Stay at the Manor

The Manor House forms part of the Pengenna experience, with five bedrooms sleeping up to 10 guests on a luxury self-catering basis. Having the house to yourselves creates a relaxed base for getting ready, spending time together and enjoying the estate beyond the wedding itself.

For additional guests, Watergate is a four-bedroom cottage at the end of the drive sleeping up to eight and available outside school holidays.

There's also more than two acres of camping meadow beside the river, available free of charge to wedding guests – perfect for couples wanting to embrace the estate's relaxed, outdoorsy character and keep friends and family close to the celebrations.

Intimate weddings and elopements

Despite the scale of the estate, Pengenna works equally beautifully for very small weddings. Its dedicated elopement option is designed for couples marrying alone or with up to eight of their closest friends and family, creating celebrations of between two and 10 people.
