Autumn Style Wedding

Wedding styling: colourful decadence

Opulent tones, a flurry of florals, to-die-for dresses and a country venue oozing elegance - welcome to an autumn wedding with style...

The beauty of an out-of-season wedding is unbridled: dramatically moody skies, landscapes flush with rusty reds, deep greens and decadent berries, and your pick of wedding venues to suit such as the spellbinding, Pengenna Manor.

Here, the space is beautifully showcased with styling inspired by autumn's rich offerings. Lush foliage with peach, yellow and white adorns the tabletops - where gold accents accentuate the luxe look - and form the eye-catching floral arch, while the occasional fuchsia colour pop lends a vibrant layer of warmth to the scene.

The cake is a riot of colour and texture, and is flanked by a smattering of the season's edible spoils to give a feast for all the senses, while subtle candlelight and bulbs strung across the ceiling help achieve the cosy and relaxed ambience. The ceremony room is an intimate blending of rustic hay bale, stone flooring and romantic low lighting via candles lining the aisle and lanterns perched by the window.

Outside, the stunning rural surrounds are naturally dressed for the occasion, providing a plethora of leafy backdrops for the bride to explore Pengenna's range of oh-so pretty places to pose, from the lush greenery of the lawn to the delicate lavender bushes and deep blush fruits of the apple tree - and even a vintage drinks van.

Then there's the bridal wear. A deep plunge neckline with leaf motifs, light-as-air tiered skirts, a minimalist strapless gown with sweetheart bodice, dazzling art deco style sheath with dainty cap sleeves, and an exquisite embroidered lace gown provide a spellbinding lookbook of the most lust-worthy styles of the moment. Gorgeously fuss-free hair and make-up with a touch of glamour act alongside a spectacular assortment of accessories including delicate pearls, opulent gemstones, bohemian floral crown and vintage botanical headpieces to complete each breath-taking bridal ensemble.
