The balmy romance of a Californian vineyard was the alluring inspiration for this luxurious styled shoot. 'We wanted to show that it is possible to have a beautiful and intimate destination style wedding without travelling abroad,' explains photographer Jen Shoubridge of Jennifer Jane Photography, who coordinated the shoot alongside wedding stylist Leanna Elizabeth of Leanna Elizabeth Weddings.
And, set in the rolling Devon hills, the picturesque climes of Brickhouse Vineyard made the perfect setting to showcase the dream Californian vineyard wedding, combining a laid-back east coast mood with notes of luxury and sophistication reminiscent of the Napa Valley wine country.
'The look is relaxed, elegant and romantic with a palette of greens, soft whites and a dash of burgundy inspired by the location,' says Jen. Amidst the warm atmosphere of the 18th century Round House, the table setting is a picture of elegance with its white silk table runner, crystal glassware, gold cutlery and urn centrepiece brimming with soft cream and burgundy blooms. 'The soft and whimsical florals of the centrepiece followed through into the floral arch of the ceremony area for a luxurious statement look,' she continues.
Echoing the mood, the cake is a simple and stylish confection, its white iced tiers decorated with sugarcraft flowers. The stationery is similarly chic with gorgeous accents of gold and nods to the vineyard location in the wine bottle table plans and cork place settings.
Completing the picture, the groom wears a classic black tux, while the bride dazzles in the clean lines and exquisite detailing of a Sottero & Midgley gown paired with a relaxed updo and dewy complexion ' a picture of laid-back modern glamour befitting this pocket of California in Devon.
