A chance to see behind the scenes of Justin's new workshop in Penzance

Based in Cornwall’s far west, Justin Duance is marking 25 years of jewellery making this summer – along with the distinctive brand and skilled team he has built along the way. Renowned for crafting contemporary jewellery imbued with meaning, his collections balance rugged beauty with refined craftsmanship.

Fresh from university in 2001, Justin began making jewellery from his London bedroom. Frustrated by the lack of contemporary jewellery available for men at the time, he set about forging his own signature aesthetic, combining unusual materials with precious metals. Wood-inlay rings became an early hallmark, laying the foundations for the enduring style for which he is now known.

Over the years, Justin and his team have expanded into a full collection of unisex rings and accessories, deeply inspired by Cornwall’s wild landscape. Organic textures and tactile finishes have become synonymous with his work, with Justin’s signature sandcast pieces emerging as particularly sought-after. Clients can even choose to have jewellery cast using sand from a meaningful beach, while the workshop itself is lined with sands collected from coastlines across the globe.

At the heart of the brand lies a strong ethical ethos, with a commitment to recycled precious metals, conflict-free gemstones and vintage diamonds.

To mark the milestone, Justin will open the doors of his newly renovated workshop on Alverton Street in Penzance on Saturday 6th June for a celebratory open day. Customers old and new, alongside the local community, are invited to step behind the scenes, peruse the collections, explore where the jewellery is made and hear the stories behind the sparkle – all while raising a glass with the team. It’s a fitting celebration of one of Cornwall’s most distinctive jewellers, and perhaps the perfect opportunity to begin planning your wedding rings or wedding-day jewellery.
