After the ceremony, gather on the terraces and lawns for drinks, garden games and photographs against the sweeping Tamar Valley views before moving inside for the wedding breakfast.
The elegant Dining Room provides an atmospheric setting for celebrations of up to 60 daytime guests, with the Castle’s reception rooms and terraces allowing the day to flow naturally between indoors and out. For something on a larger scale, a marquee can transform the grounds into a spectacular reception space for up to 200 guests while retaining the privacy and character of the estate.
Feast together
Food and drink can be shaped around the style of the celebration, with thoughtfully curated menus from Pentillie’s trusted caterers showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients. From reception drinks and canapés to the wedding breakfast and evening food, couples can create a feast that feels personal to their day.
Pentillie also welcomes couples to bring their own professional suppliers, while alternative caterers can be considered by prior arrangement, offering plenty of scope for putting an individual stamp on the celebrations.
Stay a little longer
Extend the celebrations with a stay in the Castle’s 11 individually appointed bedrooms, sleeping up to 22 adults and four children. Quay Cottage, a charming two-bedroom retreat beside the River Tamar, can also accommodate four guests and offers a particularly romantic riverside hideaway.
Arrive the evening before for a relaxed welcome supper, wake at Pentillie on the morning of the wedding and come together again over breakfast the following day.
