Lower Marsh Farm — Nature-Led Wedding Venue in Cornwall
Hidden away on the banks of the River Tamar, Lower Marsh Farm is a beautifully relaxed wedding venue for couples looking for something a little different.
Surrounded by more than 40 acres of countryside, woodland, orchard and rewilded nature reserve, the farm offers a collection of wonderfully individual spaces rather than a traditional one-room wedding venue. Exchange your vows beside the river, poolside, in the atmospheric cobbled courtyard or intimate Well House, before moving through the farm for drinks, dining and dancing.
For couples dreaming of a church ceremony, beautiful Landulph Church is just 200 metres away at the end of the drive – close enough to walk, or even arrive and depart by horse-drawn carriage.
Weddings here are intentionally flexible. From an elopement for just two to an intimate courtyard celebration or a larger marquee wedding, there is no prescribed formula. Couples can choose their own suppliers and shape the day around the things that matter to them.
Only a limited number of weddings are hosted each year, allowing each celebration to be personal, unhurried and completely individual.

The River Tamar, woodland, orchard, gardens and nature reserve create an ever-changing backdrop throughout the seasons. From waterside photographs to quiet woodland moments, nature is woven naturally into a wedding at Lower Marsh Farm.
Make the farm your own
There is no set route through a Lower Marsh Farm wedding. Say your vows in one setting, enjoy drinks somewhere else and move on again for dinner and dancing. The courtyards, pool garden, orchard, woodland and riverside can all become part of the celebration.
Intimate elopements
For couples who would rather skip the guest list altogether, Lower Marsh Farm offers relaxed three-night elopement packages for two. Stay on the farm, choose somewhere beautiful to exchange your vows and turn your wedding into a peaceful few days away together.
Sustainable by nature
Sustainability isn't an add-on at Lower Marsh Farm. The farm is managed with nature at its heart, with rewilded areas, regenerative growing and renewable energy. Couples can also choose local suppliers, seasonal flowers and sustainable confetti made from petals gathered at the farm.
Stay a little longer
With accommodation across the farm, the celebration doesn't have to begin and end on the wedding day. Closest friends and family can stay on site, turning the occasion into a relaxed wedding weekend.
Ceremony & Reception Spaces
The Cobbled Courtyard – An atmospheric setting for outdoor ceremonies, drinks receptions and dining, with the adjoining courtyard offering additional flexibility.
The Well House – A wonderfully intimate and characterful little 'chapel', particularly suited to elopements and smaller ceremonies.

Riverside – A peaceful natural setting beside the River Tamar for couples who want the landscape at the heart of their day.
The Orchard – A beautiful option for larger wedding breakfasts and marquee celebrations surrounded by the Cornish countryside.
Woodland & Gardens – Quiet corners throughout the farm provide romantic ceremony possibilities and beautiful locations for photographs.
Landulph Church – Just 200 metres from the farm at the end of the drive, this lovely country church provides another option before returning to the farm for the celebrations.
Elopement & Intimate Weddings in Cornwall
For couples dreaming of something small and wonderfully personal, Lower Marsh Farm offers elopement weddings for just the two of you.
Three-night packages combine your accommodation and ceremony with thoughtful details such as flowers, breakfast hampers and wedding coordination. Witnesses can even be arranged, making it possible to disappear to Cornwall and get married with nobody else on the guest list.
Photography, cake, private dining, additional flowers, treatments and a dog chaperone can also be arranged, allowing couples to keep things beautifully simple or add as many special touches as they wish.

Winter & Festive Weddings
Lower Marsh Farm is particularly magical in the quieter months.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we have an outdoor wedding ceremony?
Yes. There are several beautiful outdoor possibilities around the farm, including the courtyard, poolside, riverside and other locations surrounded by nature. Your wet-weather option can be planned with you depending on the ceremony location and size of your wedding.
Can we get married at a church nearby?
Yes. Landulph Church is just 200 metres away at the end of the drive. It's an easy walk from the farm – although arriving or leaving by horse-drawn carriage is considerably more fun!
Can we have an elopement wedding?
Absolutely. Our elopement package is designed specifically for two people and includes a three-night stay, your ceremony and a collection of thoughtful extras. We can even provide your two witnesses if required.
Is Lower Marsh Farm dog friendly?
Very! Dogs are welcome at Lower Marsh Farm and can be part of your wedding day too. A professional dog chaperone can also be arranged if you'd like some help during the ceremony, photographs or reception.
Can we choose our own wedding suppliers?
Yes. We have a collection of wonderful local suppliers we can recommend, but couples have plenty of freedom to choose the people they would like to work with. For some larger infrastructure suppliers, such as marquee and tipi companies, we may need to approve arrangements in advance.
Do you offer sustainable weddings?
Sustainability is at the heart of the farm rather than a separate wedding package. From the way the land is managed and renewable energy generated on site to local suppliers, regenerative growing and our own dried flower-petal confetti, we can help couples make environmentally conscious choices throughout their celebration.
Can guests stay at Lower Marsh Farm?
Yes. Around 20 guests can stay across our cottages, barns and wooden yurt cabins, allowing your closest friends and family to make a weekend of the celebration. We can also recommend additional accommodation nearby.
