After two years of uncertainty in the wedding world, it’s safe to say weddings are back – and wow, are they joyful! My inbox and social media feed have never been so full of incredible weddings and the happiness is almost palpable in every photo. It’s been a long wait for some – and there’s a definite sense of couples grabbing life, cherishing love and really savouring the togetherness a wedding day brings. We’ve noticed other changes, too. Weddings are growing ever more personalised, guest experience is front and centre, the rulebook is well and truly being thrown out – and sustainability is key.

Sustainable elements and a deep appreciation of our staggering landscape here in Cornwall is a recurring theme throughout these pages. Our bridal fashion story, Dream a Little Dream, sets the mood, showcasing ethereal dresses embellished with dreamily delicate detail amidst the leafy nooks and rhododendrons of the picturesque gardens at intimate wedding venue Treseren.

Styled with thrifted finds, vintage jewels and slow fashion, The Call of Autumn captures the colours and romance of the season against an atmospheric canvas of marshes and meadows. And the grounds of Pentillie Castle & Estate make a dreamlike setting for a sustainable celebration brimming with vibrant colours, upcycled props and locally grown blooms in Natural Selection.

Cornwall’s landscape is, of course, what draws so many couples to marry here and our features The Great Outdoors and The Magic of Canvas are full of inspiration for celebrating in a scenic spot, from al fresco ceremonies to festivities under canvas. And, from north coast to south, moorland to vineyard and flower-filled meadows to the winding streets of St Ives, this issue’s Got Wed section celebrates the diversity and romance of our enchanting county. Prepare to swoon over these gorgeous celebrations of love in the most breathtakingly beautiful spots.

I hope you enjoy the issue!
