Gazing across at the rolling green hills and patchwork of fields from Harefield Barn, you feel blissfully away from it all

Gazing across at the rolling green hills and patchwork of fields from Harefield Barn, you feel blissfully away from it all, immersed in the beauty and tranquility of the Devon countryside. Flanked by an orchard and meadows of wild flowers, the elevated position of the gorgeous new venue offers a wonderful vantage point to take in mile upon mile of lush landscape, dotted with trees.

Conveniently located only a 10-minute drive from Exeter, Harefield Barn has been carefully designed to offer couples the flexibility to create a personality-packed wedding tailored entirely to their vision. The light-filled space blends a modern appearance with characterful features such as exposed beams and a wood-burning stove, with underfloor heating throughout. Special attention has been paid to the barn's location, with bi-fold doors and floor-to-ceiling windows offering vistas across the ever-changing landscape

The versatile venue offers a choice of no less than seven licensed areas in which to legally wed, with indoor and outdoor options ranging from two to 125 people. And as well as the venue's own ceremony spots, there are also two churches within four miles making Harefield Barn a perfect venue for a stunning rustic reception.

The largest of the licensed options, the Main Hall, with its beamed ceiling and natural light flooding in from the huge windows, is licensed for up to 125, and can be configured in many ways to make the most of the scenic space. An additional ceremony room, the Tallet, holds up to 100, and is a complementary area to the Main Hall, perhaps to be used as a quieter area, or a dance floor with a live band set up to kick off the celebrations. Some of the smaller options include the Bar, which holds 50 people, or the Gallery, which overlooks the Main Hall and provides a space for a more intimate ceremony of up to 30 people. Alternatively, the glass balustrade of the Gallery gives you the option to exchange your vows on the balcony with your guests watching from the hall below.

For those keen to soak up the splendour of the Devon countryside, the Clock House offers an incredibly romantic option for outdoor ceremonies, the open-sided gazebo framing views across the undulating hills, with your guests seated on the terrace before you. Rounding off the licensed options are the light-filled modern porch area and the Leveret Suite, which holds up to 12 and 10 people respectively.

The Leveret Suite is a particularly versatile space, offering an ideal setting for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready. With plenty of light and space for hair and make-up artists, it has a Juliet balcony height window with far-reaching views towards Exeter, making it a perfect spot for those getting-ready photos.
