Harefield Barn

Designed and built to make the most of the fabulous views, Harefield Barn stands on a family farm in an idyllic spot surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside. Beautifully far from the madding crowd, the country venue is still just 10 minutes from Exeter. It is a small family business, deliberately limiting the number of weddings each year to make sure every couple is given a truly personal service in this scenic spot.
The clean lines of the spacious rooms within the Barn provide a perfect backdrop for your ideas, whether you decide to keep it simple or have fun with a particular theme or style.  Recently described as 'barn chic' Harefield gives you the fantastic combination of modern facilities and design, but with enough character to make it distinctive. Natural light floods in everywhere, making it a photographer's dream, and the vast windows in the Main Hall showcase that spectacular view. Large bifold doors open out onto the terrace from both the Bar and Hall, giving a true inside/outside feel, and if the English weather is not so great, there's no need to worry. With underfloor heating throughout and a wood-burner in the stylish bar, you can enjoy the best of both worlds and have a great time, come rain or shine, making Harefield Barn ideal for weddings in the summer, winter or anytime in between!

Within the Barn there are both large open spaces or more intimate ones where you can exchange your vows, or a ceremony in The Clock House provides the most amazing backdrop for you and your guests. The bride also has the use of a comfortable and elegant suite, with plenty of space to prepare with her bride tribe or a hideaway for the newlyweds to escape for a few moments. Picking your favourite place to take photos might be a bit tricky too, as there are so many to choose from both in and around the Barn and on the farm. From the giant mirror in the Leveret Suite and the Gallery with stunning scissor beams, to corn fields, meadows and cider orchards, the choice is yours!
