Nestled amidst leafy orchards and rolling farmland, Harefield Barn offers sweeping views across an incredibly picturesque stretch of Devon countryside. Abundant in natural beauty, the venue makes a stirring backdrop for this autumnal styled shoot where a medieval feasting vibe meets a fresh, modern aesthetic.
'Drawing on orchards and harvest time, this autumnal shoot brings together my love of clashing colours and the bountifulness of the countryside,' explains Phoebe Chapman of Elisabeth Shell Events, who coordinated and styled the shoot.
The bounty of nature can be seen throughout, from the apple-laden boughs and dramatic flowers and foliage to the feasting table bursting with colour and the flavours of roast pork and cider-soaked gravy ' 'the best of the West Country!' says Phoebe. 'Reclaimed artisan backdrops and adornments, hand-dyed silk ribbons and handmade ethical jewellery showcase the wealth of cool, conscientious suppliers we have down here in the South West, set off by natural décor and textures of the outdoors.'
The stationery, too, carries the harvesttime theme of nature and abundance, the apple leaf illustrated stationery nestling in vibrant textured pockets to add to the feeling of cosy, while the cakes are striking in their simplicity, decorated with seasonal flowers and foraged crab apples.
Couture designer dresses, handcrafted by Sarah Treble in Exeter, are the perfect fit for a shoot typified by lovingly crafted and carefully sourced details. The elegant simplicity and pretty detail of the Daisy dress contrasts with the exquisite lace and striking design of the Adrienne dress. Then there's the showstopping autumn halo crown, another stunning Devon-made creation, adorned with foraged acorns and wheat sheaves to bring a head-turningly beautiful finish to a striking shoot.
