Unique and meaningful wedding jewellery crafted in Ashburton

From her studio boutique tucked amongst the streets of Ashburton, Yumé Martin handcrafts ethical jewellery rich in meaning and sentiment. Drawing on an upbringing that took her from Ireland to the Japanese countryside, as well as time studying in Mexico, her designs reflect a diverse mix of influences, with nature and mythology recurring throughout her work.

From organic forms to clean contemporary lines, Yumé’s collection spans delicate earrings and necklaces to exquisite engagement rings and wedding bands. Her heirloom remodelling service is particularly popular, breathing new life into jewellery that might otherwise remain unworn. Family gold can be melted down and transformed into bespoke wedding rings, creating a beautifully sustainable way to carry a little family history into your marriage.

“Not only can it work out a lot cheaper, there’s also the wonderful sentimental charm of having something that belonged to a grandparent or another family member incorporated into the rings,” says Yumé. “It’s a lovely way to recreate special jewellery to be treasured for another lifetime, with its story carried forward.”

Each commission is handcrafted in her Ashburton studio, with prices starting from £300, plus the cost of any additional materials required. Yumé works closely with you to bring your vision to life, creating a deeply personal symbol of your love to treasure – and perhaps pass down – for generations.
