Rockbeare Manor is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 160 guests, with a choice of beautiful spaces to suit celebrations of different sizes.

The elegant Adam-style Dining Room dates back almost 250 years and seats up to 100 guests for the ceremony. Ornamental plasterwork, marble pillars, a crystal chandelier and original sash windows give the room a timeless sense of grandeur.

For larger ceremonies, the Ballroom can accommodate up to 160 guests. High ceilings, contemporary chandeliers and full-length windows overlooking the parkland create a wonderfully light and airy setting.

Outdoor ceremonies are also possible, allowing couples to make the most of Rockbeare's beautiful Devon surroundings.

Celebrate in style

Following the ceremony, guests can spill out into the grounds for drinks, canapés and photographs before gathering in the Ballroom for the wedding breakfast.

Seating between 50 and 160 guests, the Ballroom combines generous proportions with views across the parkland. As evening falls, the space transforms for dancing and celebrations for up to 200 guests.

Elsewhere in the manor, elegant reception rooms provide plenty of space for guests to relax throughout the day, helping the celebration flow naturally from one part of the house to another.

A feast to remember

Food is an important part of the Rockbeare experience. The manor's in-house chefs create beautifully presented wedding menus using quality ingredients sourced from Devon and the South West.

From reception drinks and canapés to the wedding breakfast and evening food, couples can choose from a range of menu and drinks options, with their Event Manager on hand to help shape the dining experience around their celebration.

Stay at the manor

With 13 individually designed bedroom suites within the house, couples can keep their closest family and friends at the heart of the celebration.

The accommodation ranges from elegant double rooms to spacious family suites, with an accessible ground-floor bedroom also available. The following morning, overnight guests can gather in the Dining Room for a generous breakfast – a lovely opportunity to relive the highlights of the day before heading home.

The night before

For couples who want to begin the celebrations early, The Dairy provides a private hideaway for the night before the wedding.

Sleeping up to six guests, it's an ideal base for the wedding party, with plenty of time and space for hair and make-up preparations on the morning itself before heading across to the manor.
