The Devon designer launches her new vintage-inspired collection

Handcrafted in Devon, The Lucky Sixpence is adored by brides seeking accessories that feel truly one-of-a-kind – pieces that dazzle with distinctive detail and effortlessly blend vintage glamour with modern craftsmanship. The brand was born when founder Janie Wolverson couldn’t find accessories for her own wedding that felt personal, sustainable or truly different – so she created her own, using pre-loved jewellery as her starting point.

“I designed this collection as a nod back to the vintage vibe while making it accessible to everyone,” she explains. “Reworking vintage is such a huge part of what I do, but the only problem is that once someone falls in love with a piece, it can’t be remade. With this collection, I wanted to offer that same timeless feel – but with designs that can be recreated in different colourways to suit each client.”

The art deco inspiration shines through in every detail – from statement earrings and crystal-drenched hair pins to glass seed beads, crystal pearls, rhinestone combs and a showstopping crown. Each piece is hand-beaded and available in a selection of colours. “I wanted to create a cohesive collection where there were options for everyone. I also wanted the pieces to be truly wearable – so they can be enjoyed long after the wedding.”

With a passion for sustainability to match her love of all things vintage, Janie keeps her footprint light by making each piece to order, sourcing materials locally wherever possible and using recycled and recyclable packaging.
