“Weddings do not need to be white, cream or muted colours,” asserts Sophie Walker-Sunderhauf of The Little Details by Sophie who coordinated and styled the shoot. “This shoot is designed to show you that you can break the rules on colours – you don’t need to follow trends or traditions!”

The lovingly restored Regency climes of Roswarne House makes the dream canvas for the riot of colour and playful detail. Shades of lilac and punchy pink meet pops of yellow and tangerine in the florals which bring glorious colour to the tablescape, the ceremony setting and the staircase, while the florals, ruffles and marbled tier of the cake exemplifies the ‘more is more’ aesthetic. Colourful stationery, funfair ticket place names, popcorn and candyfloss add to the theme; and, complete with a carousel horse, a sugary pink VW campervan photo booth makes a fun-filled focal point for the celebrations.

The bride and groom perfectly carry the exuberant vibe in their brilliantly individual ensembles. Cascading with lavender ruffles, the voluminous gown is as romantic as it is playful, while the groom’s modish pink check suit complements the look with fashion-forward edge. Their palpable joy is the perfect finishing touch for the vibrant scene – a veritable feast for the senses.
