Personalised and planet-friendly wedding catering in Devon
Putting your personalities at the heart of your celebration is the secret to an unforgettable wedding – and flavour is no exception. A standout wedding feast begins with you: your favourite dishes, treasured food memories and the flavours that spark nostalgia and delight. That’s why Devon-based caterers Fig and Smoke always start with your story. “We have no set menus and no lists of repetitive options,” says director Jordan Ralph. “We take our inspiration from you – your story, the foods you enjoy eating, your favourite food memory and the vision you have for the day.”

From intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations, the family-run team craft vibrant, seasonal dishes bursting with fresh, local produce. Expect meticulously made flavour-packed canapés – think gin-cured salmon on burnt cucumber, crispy smoked ham hock squares with truffled emulsion, and smoked cheddar arancini with spicy ketchup. Sharing boards bring a relaxed, sociable feel to the table, whether you opt for meze-style spreads or hearty beef brisket with mushroom ketchup and a range of sides, followed by dreamy desserts such as mini berry meringues, lemon posset and classic tiramisu.

Prefer a plated dinner? Fig and Smoke transform your favourite flavours into beautifully presented dishes: current favourites include crab cake with split lemongrass bisque dressing, saddle of lamb with rosemary dauphinoise, and chocolate tart with salted caramel and pecans. And when it’s time to refuel the dance floor, think mac and cheese, dirty dogs, feisty flatbreads or bacon rolls. They’ll even take care of the drinks, with Benedicts Bar offering both a horsebox trailer and indoor setup, complete with curated bar packages.
