A coast-meets-country wedding dream at Chypraze Wedding Barn

Perched on the cliffs of Cornwall's rugged far-west, flanked by acres of ancient landscape and the Atlantic Ocean, Chypraze Farm presents a wildly atmospheric setting for a wedding.
The restored 1895 milking barn, complete with original stonework and wooden beams, makes a rustic and charm-filled setting for civil ceremonies, accommodating up to 100 seated guests and up to 200 for evening parties. Rich in romance and drama, the remote location also lends itself to elopement weddings and intimate gatherings.
Imagine spilling out into the courtyard for welcome drinks and canapés, and roaming the clifftop and spectacular sands of private Portheras Beach ' just a short walk along the coastal path ' for breathtaking photos. Sustainability credentials are key to the venue's ethos. As well as producing their own award-winning sausages, burgers, loin chops and pork from their butchery, the venue generates power from a wind turbine, solar panels, and a ground source heat pump. The dedicated team is now working on installing hydro-energy from the nearby stream which tumbles into the sea. 'By 2025, we are hoping to run weddings without plastic, balloons and anything that has done more than a day's nautical miles,' explains owner, Fiona Flindall.
