Just moments from St Ives on the Cornish coast, Polmanter Weddings becomes an integral part of this story, shaping the mood alongside the florals and fabrics. With its relaxed countryside setting, the venue offers a light-filled space that serves as a beautiful blank canvas for ceremonies and receptions. “Our approach is all about warmth and flexibility, creating a welcoming space for memorable celebrations with stunning oak beams, Cornish granite and soft lighting,” explain the team.
That sense of warmth carries through every element of the styling, echoing the ease and beauty of the surrounding landscape. Rather than acting as a backdrop, soft drapery sets the tone, gently gathered behind the ceremony space and top table, mirroring the folds of coastal cliffs and wind-shaped dunes. “Rather than crisp perfection, everything feels intentionally relaxed,” explains stylist Jess Baber of Tide the Knot. “Elegant, but unforced.”
The palette is muted and organic, moving through shades of ivory, stone, blush and warm taupe, grounded by dried florals and faded roses in dusky, autumnal tones. “I designed the florals using muted coffee and cream tones, inspired by the richness of tiramisu,” says floral designer Perdie Griffith from Perdie’s Flowers. “Soft neutrals, warm browns and gentle blush hues come together to create a look that feels comforting, timeless and quietly indulgent.”
The bridal look follows the same philosophy. Fluid and minimal, the silk linen gown balances timeless romance with modern, bohemian ease. “It was styled with detachable sleeves, offering a versatile option for brides wishing to change their look,” says designer Hannah Bole from Solunah.
Hair and make-up are kept beautifully simple – natural, timeless make-up paired with an effortlessly soft updo, loose strands framing the face for a look that feels romantic, undone and entirely at ease.
Inside the reception space, long banquet tables create a sense of closeness, softened by loosely draped linens, low, textural florals and the gentle glow of globe lighting overhead. Subtle gold accents in the tableware and glassware catch the candlelight, adding gentle depth and warmth without overwhelming the palette.
Tradition is reimagined through a shared tiramisu dessert, designed to be gathered around and enjoyed together. “I envisioned a warm, autumn-toned celebration,” explains Louise Roach from Ausel Cakes, “where a generous sharing dessert replaces the traditional wedding cake.”
Altogether, this shoot is a study in restraint – where modern editorial details meet countryside romance. At Polmanter Weddings, beauty unfolds softly, in quiet moments, natural textures and the gentle confidence of knowing when to let things be.
