It's these vibes that Sam at Woodfired Weddings wants to echo through the food you serve at your big day, particularly with their 'Off the Grills' service. Picture long tables piled high with sharing plates and huge bowls of freshly cooked fare, made right in front of your guests - it's an informal yet stylish way to serve a modern and delicious menu. "We turn up on the day, cook over live fire and serve a single course over the grills; leaving you to party the night away. No fuss, no faff, just honest and super tasty food!" says Sam.
Hannah, who opted for the Off the Grills service for her midsummer wedding to James, said the informal approach "just made sense" to them. "Our wedding day was beyond our wildest dreams, never could we have imagined a day quite like it, filled with so much sunshine, love and fun," she says. "Having tasted Woodfired Weddings' food, we knew we'd be letting our guests in for a treat. Their relaxed approach matched perfectly with ours and their flexibility with timings (I arrived late!) was smooth and without issue. The food itself was light and delicious, perfect for a summer's day and it being cooked 'Off the Grills' meant more interaction between guests and the catering team. We couldn't have asked for more!"
Hannah and James opted for a menu of smoke roasted chicken, the fresh-from-the-grills flavours perfectly complemented by the delectable likes of beetroot borani and zingy lemon and feta. The couple continued the laidback, interactive mood by throwing a 'Great British Bake Off' style contest for dessert.
It's not hard to imagine why 'Off the Grills' has proved so popular - there's no seating plan to toil over, just a relaxed time for everyone to graze over the food, along with the feature of live fire cooking, bringing your guests together for an experience as well as a taste sensation.
"With a huge amount of experience at cooking for special gatherings in unique locations, alongside our ethos to do things differently, we have developed our festival-style offering 'Off the Grills' to be the perfect option to bring great flavour, but with a relaxed feel to your wedding day," says Sam. "It's the best of produce in honest and confident menus that are full of flavour and fire."
