Winter romance at Stennack Farm

Winter romance at Stennack Farm

Wedding styling: wintery rural romance

Natural textures and earthy shades make for a wildly romantic, rustic scene at Stennack Farm

If it's some seasonal style you're looking for, then this recent shoot at Stennack Farm should provide all the inspiration you need. Burnt red and orange tones, botanical accents and country motifs all add to the splendour of this wildly romantic wedding scene, where rustic elements combine with a little luxe to enchanting effect.
Let's begin with the couple, whose ensembles perfectly capture an essence of pastoral love. The groom's three-piece windowpane suit and light tan brogues evoke on-trend style with its vivid colour and rich texture, while the bride's lace gown combines a sense of whimsy with vintage romance through features including a lace top, scooped sweetheart neckline and elegant long sleeves. Contemporised by a statement headpiece with a geometric design, the look maintains a timeless quality courtesy of make-up with a hint of glamour and gorgeous gold floral earrings finished with a teardrop freshwater pearl.
The wedding space itself is both stripped-back and decadently dressed. A simple backdrop comprising a hessian rug, hurricane candle holders and fabulous floristry with plenty of greenery establishes the aesthetic, which - against the wood panel walls - beautifully brings the outdoors in.
The floral arrangements continue to catch the eye along the tabletops, where trailing greenery is mixed with tea lights, vintage style glassware, and place settings adorned with stag motif place cards and pheasant feathers.
Minimalist lighting and floor-to-ceiling windows frame the outdoors to allow nature to hold centre stage, drawing the gaze out to the stunning patchwork of green fields and woodland that lies beyond.
