It’s difficult to imagine anything more romantic than a wedding celebration for two within touching distance of the Atlantic breakers. In this styled shoot, a team of talented wedding creatives set the scene for a relaxed and beautifully styled wedding picnic on Cornwall’s rugged north coast.
A palette of warm neutrals with whispers of soft pink and gold blends dreamily into the surrounding grass-tufted sand dunes, as do the array of natural textures at the picnic table, from the raffia place mats, cushions and vases filled with pampas grass to the macramé and palm leaf details. Touches of pink and gold carry from the cake to the stationery, while grazing platters filled with cheeses, meats and fruit bring vibrant colour and flavour.
Slotting seamlessly into the scene, the bride wears a billowing handcrafted dress, her long hair woven with boho braids and dried flowers, and her delicate handmade jewellery dotted with sea glass and ethically sourced diamonds. The groom is dressed simply in pared-back white and sandy shades, his buttonhole echoing the neutral hues of the bouquet flecked with burnt orange. Strolling across the sands, dancing at the water’s edge and curling up for a picnic to the murmur of the tide – this relaxed celebration by the sea is the stuff of dreams.
