The carefully curated collection at Polka Dot Gallery, Exeter, has a new star: Belle Smith Jewellery – a brand where storytelling and sustainability meets fine craftsmanship.
Having studied at Central Saint Martins and honed her skills working alongside renowned jewellers in London’s iconic Hatton Garden, Belle is now based in Leeds, where her work continues to be inspired by nature and narratives. “I draw inspiration from the natural world and the stories we carry,” she says. “My designs balance traditional craftsmanship with contemporary artistry, featuring carefully selected gemstones and delicate details to create jewellery that feels elegant, personal and like no other.”


 
Sustainability is central to Belle’s approach. She prioritises ethical sourcing, selecting responsible gemstones and metals, and incorporating recycled and reclaimed materials wherever possible.
 
Now available at Polka Dot Gallery, her collection of wedding and engagement rings brings her signature aesthetic to life – think dainty yet distinctive engagement rings and wedding bands scattered with gemstones that echo nature’s textures and colours, from delicate florals to wild seas.
