Wedding styling: minimal elegance

Pared-back and elegant styling inspiration at Stennack Farm

Appropriately entitled 'Back into the Light' by its organisers, this stunning location shoot blends two of Cornwall's natural landscapes with a venue featuring fresh, yet simple styling to achieve an effortlessly chic and beguilingly romantic look.

Preparing for the 'big day' at Stennack Farm, the shoot begins at this enchanting new venue tucked away amidst rolling countryside in a leafy corner of west Cornwall, whose sense of seclusion and wild charm is achingly palpable. Just a 12-minute drive from the north coast and golden sands of Godrevy, the family-run working farm offers a newly converted wedding barn, rustic outbuildings and luxury accommodation amidst acres of lush grounds to enjoy loved-up wanders and quality time with friends and family - not to mention - countless idyllic opportunities for photographs.

Offering no less than three licensed options for ceremonies, couples can choose to marry and celebrate in the purpose-built Wedding Barn before sweeping views across the valley, or for a more intimate experience with up to 20 guests, there's the Old Cow Barn. If the weather permits, you might take your vows outside on the lawn, stepping into the Pixie Hut for parts of the ceremony, followed by an al fresco feast in the grounds. With an area for a marquee extension if required, a fully staffed bar, large catering kitchen, furnishings, glassware and a PA system, Stennack Farm also offers offer on-the-day coordination or a full planning service, giving you total peace of mind. So whether you opt for a weekend celebration or a midweek wedding stay, the exclusive-use venue has a package to suit, combining accommodation for 20 in three luxury properties with a children's play area, hot tub, barbecue hut and plenty of outdoor space for camping.

Marrying under a striking purpose-built A-frame, the couple are framed by decor that nods to the venue's gorgeous rural surrounds, with neutral coloured florals paired with plenty of greenery alongside a scattering of lamps that line the aisle. The tablescapes follow the earthy palette of greens and browns softened with peach and accented with metallics for a beautifully modern luxe twist on rustic.

The bride is a vision in a striking corset style gown complete with floral lace, which is later swapped for a whimsical V-neck dress with light-as-air skirt that the sea breeze plays with to show-stealing effect. Meanwhile the groom, in braces and a fresh flower buttonhole, achieves laid-back debonair with ease, allowing him to kick off his shoes and carry his bride along the shore for the most swoon-worthy day's finale.
