Devon-based jewellery designer Corrinne Eira Evans fell in love with jewellery at a young age. Her burgeoning interest saw her spending some years working at a local jewellers before embarking on her studies in silversmithing, fine jewellery making and contemporary crafts, and the launch of her own business 10 years ago.
Now happily settled in Devon, Corrinne uses traditional silversmithing techniques to create beautifully handcrafted, delicate and elegant contemporary jewellery with a modern and timeless finish.
'Each piece is made with a 'hand-me-down' attitude of longevity,' says Corrinne, who is passionate about using ethically sourced materials including recycled silver and fair trade gold to create her standout pieces. With bespoke being the keynote of her work, she savours the process of working with couples to create engagement and wedding rings, beautifully tailored to their vision.
Now an Associate Member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Corrinne has opened her own gallery, Moon & Moor, in Okehampton where, alongside showcasing the sustainably made work of talented local craftspeople and artists, she run her own jewellery workshops. Her 'make your own wedding band workshops' allow couples to design and craft the all-important symbols of their union from precious metals under her expert supervision. Complete with refreshments, photos and a bottle of bubbly at the end to celebrate, you're assured a memorable day as well as some very special wedding bands to treasure.
