'This shoot was all about having fun with lots of colour, unique elements and smiles all round,' says photographer and shoot coordinator Hannah Barnes. 'I wanted to create a styled shoot so that brides-to-be who have an alternative style can see that they can still be a bride and have a fantastically beautiful wedding too.'
Moving away from traditional wedding styling, Hannah set out to create a look that had an edge, but an exuberance too. Achieving this with red and black accents and blooms in hues of pink, purple and crimson, there is a brightness and effervescence to the shoot, the darkness and urban edge illuminated with playful touches, statement lighting and crisp white gowns.
The hand-painted cake is a colourful masterpiece, artful in its design and unique with its hand-written message of long-lasting love. Eucalyptus leaves, foliage and red petals bring colour to the table styling, while balloons and neon lighting add to the fun factor.
The combination of strong eye make-up, red lips and flowing blonde locks ' together with an oversized flower crown ' make for a bold and beautiful bridal look. Then there's the dresses: off-the-shoulder cuts, timeless lace and draped tulle toughened up with a personalised leather jacket and biker boots for a wedding day look with a whole lot of attitude.
