Hurlditch Court opens its doors

A new wedding venue has opened its doors on the edge of Tavistock – and it offers romance and spellbinding scenery in abundance.
Located in Lamerton, Hurlditch Court is a Grade II listed manor house boasting a rich history that dates back as far as 1351. The charm-filled house is flanked by incredibly pretty grounds where elegant gardens meet rolling lawns and a beautiful lake.
With a myriad of stirring settings for ceremonies, choose from an elopement or intimate wedding for up to 14 guests in the Gatehouse or, for palpable romance, a celebrant-led ceremony by the lake. If you have your heart set on a church ceremony, the local church is a short distance from the venue.
As for receptions, you might choose a grand marquee or tipi reception by the lake for up to 80 guests or perhaps a stretch tent between the shepherd's huts for up to 60.
