Cornish Drinks and Gin Festival at The Alverton

Check out the fabulous wedding venue that is, The Alverton, while celebrating everything Cornish and gin during this unique and not-to-be-missed event on Saturday 23 March (12pm until late).

Taking place in The Alverton's stunning Great Hall, which was once a chapel to the Order of the Epiphany, the festival will showcase  the best drink makers from the region, and will have top tipples to tickle all fancies, including spirits, wines, beers and ciders produced locally from the likes of Tarquins Gin, Trevethan Distillery, Curio Spirits, St Ives Gin, Rathlee Rum, Sharps Brewery and Polgoon Vineyard and Orchard, amongst others.

Throughout the day there will be live demonstrations from the makers, live music from established local singer-songwriters and a DJ in the evening. Tickets also include a free branded gin glass to keep, a G&T on arrival and samples from each of the makers.

Ben Young, Managing Director of The Alverton, said: "We're very excited to host our first ever Gin and Cornish Drinks Festival. It is a chance for us to shine a light on the fantastic drink producers from the area - from some of the world's best gins to award-winning wines - it's all going to be here."

The Alverton is found on the outskirts of Truro and has plenty of free parking for festival goers with food available throughout the day. Tickets are available from EventBrite.
