WESTERN SPIRIT
Rum is having a moment ' and, thanks to its associations with Cornwall's smuggling past ' it's the perfect spirit to serve at a Cornish wedding. Lovingly crafted on a family farm on the county's western tip, the latest rums on the block from Cape Cornwall Rum Company are as rich in smuggling folklore as they are in delectable flavour. The rums are aged, mixed, spiced and bottled in a farm building known as 'the wink', thought to be the storage place for rum and other goods smuggled into Cape Cornwall by boat to avoid high government taxes.
Available in white, gold and spiced, the rums are blended with pure Cornish water and ingredients inspired by the surrounding coastline such as saffron, Cornish sea salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Whether served straight over ice or as crowd-pleasing cocktails ' mojitos and dark 'n' stormy are favourites ' your guests are in for a palette-pleasing and quintessentially Cornish tipple.

BLOOMS DAY
Flowers are a perennial favourite when it comes to wedding cakes and we're loving the current trends for adding some petal pretty to your sweet centrepiece: think hand-painted petals, pressed edible flowers or a few statement blooms popping against clean lines and sumptuous colour.
