Bursting with colour, flavour and luxe fashion, this styled shoot channels the romance of Italy in the rural heart of Devon. Captured at The Lost Music Hall, a charm-filled elopement venue tucked into a secluded South Hams valley, the shoot evokes the effortless allure of the Mediterranean lifestyle with all the joy of a modern garden party wedding – grounded in timeless elegance.
Conceived and styled by Sophie Ebbans of Sophie Flowers and Jessica Evans of Desirángo, the vision was to create an immersive celebration of laid-back luxury, captured through photographer Hannah Wilde's relaxed editorial lens.
“Textures and colours were carefully curated, drawing on a warm, Mediterranean-inspired palette of terracotta, olive green, butter yellow, soft pink and peach,” explains Sophie. “Complementary stationery and tableware were selected with intention, while guests followed a playful garden party dress code to enhance the relaxed, joyful atmosphere,” adds Jessica.
Florals are central to the look: abundant, untamed arrangements cascade across tables layered with lemon-striped linens, butter yellow candles and whimsical stationery. The menu, meanwhile, sings of Italy – generous and vibrant. Think decadent lasagne, tiramisu and meringues, strawberries lavishly topped with cream, and sparkling cocktails of rosé, Aperol, soda and peach.
Inspired by the Mediterranean way of life – relaxed, sociable and full of heart – the shoot radiates charm. Every detail echoes that spirit, creating a setting that feels both luxurious and welcoming, with laughter and connection at its core.
The timeline reimagines tradition with fresh twists: the couple getting ready together, an al fresco ceremony and drinks, followed by dinner under the open sky. In place of cake-cutting, tiramisu served playfully over the bonnet of an Aston Martin captures the romance, character and joy that defines this bold and beautiful wedding vision.
