The Fash Pack

Luckily for style-savvy brides, bridal fashion is following hot on the heels of the top catwalk trends.

From boho vibes to chic cut outs, here's our pick of the fashion-forward looks currently taking the wedding world by storm...

Shopping for a wedding dress can be exhausting, expensive - but when you find 'the one' - utterly exhilarating. If you're still on the hunt, and unsure about what exactly you want, why not look to the catwalk for inspiration?

Sure the standard catwalk is often full of unwearable 'concepts', but don't let that put you off - the bridal catwalk is far from it. Plus it's packed with trends and gems you might not otherwise consider. So with that in mind, here are five of our favourite current wedding dress trends spotted on the runway.

Prim and proper
Ready-to-wears' flirtation with all things Victoriana has hit bridal styles with prim necklines and an obsession with tremendous trains and voluptuous veils. Opting for a train or veil (or both) is a great way to add a dash of drama to your bridal look.
Veils are perfect for capturing whimsical blowing-in-the-wind style photographs. Go all out and opt for embroidery, beading or even a bit of bling by way of Swarovski crystals. Or alternatively, stick to lace for pared back elegance.
Tempted by a train? You don't have to go full Kate Middleton and go for one a mile long. Simple, shorter affairs are affordable and more appropriate for informal dos.

Dare to bare
Things got a little bit sexy on the catwalk this season! From plunging V-necks down to the pelvis to sheer panels, it was all about daring to bare.

If you're not adverse to a little cleavage, there are plenty of beautiful creations that will showcase yours' elegantly. Likewise, cut out and sheer panels are both popular options at the moment; go for small details for a subtle nod to the trend.
If you're keen - but don't want to shock great-granny Edna with a thigh-high split - why not go for an off-the-shoulder number? They were everywhere, in both cool minimalist and out-there ornate styles.

50 shades of pink
Fancy being a literal blushing bride? Pick a pink dress and you will be. Romantic rosy hues were a mainstay of the catwalk; from barely there blush to magenta ombre - if you're a fan of pink, you're in luck this season.

This is a great option for brides who want to avoid white, which, let's be honest, isn't a universally flattering colour. That said, if pink isn't for you, there were several other sweet shades on show. Pastel blue has a very modern, cool vibe to it and lilac is always a chic option in our books.

Short and chic
If you love your pins, it doesn't make sense to hide them on your big day. Luckily this season has been overrun with shorter style dresses. And the good news is, you certainly won't need a dress change for the evening reception as these dresses were practically made for dancing the night away.

From minis to midis and everything in-between - there is a length out there for everyone. Perhaps just don't combine this with the 'dare to bare' trend, lest great-granny Edna has a heart attack!

Bohemian rhapsody
Laidback boho fashion is back big time - you've probably noticed all the suede and fringing lining the high street. Well good news for festival lovers, free spirits and beach babes alike - bridal wear is having a big boho moment too.

These chilled out frocks would be perfect for a beachside do and the lack of structure - no hoops or boned bodices here - mean you'll be chilled out too. Look for lace, layers and crochet details. Or failing that, Google Kate Moss's wedding dress. You're welcome.
