Sunset Inspired Shoot

Sunset inspired bridal shoot at Bantham Beach

Channel sand-between-the-toes bridal style filled with golden hues, gorgeous decor and heaps of tulle

Let's get back to nature. As well as soothing the soul and lifting your spirits, there may be no better source of inspiration than by revelling in some time with Mother Nature. And here in the south-west we have it in spades - especially our world-famed coastline.

Shot at Bantham Beach in Devon, this styled editorial from a brilliant team takes seascapes and sand dunes as its sublime backdrop to showcase some equally-as-gorgeous bridal wear and wedding decor to help you envision your very own sand-between-the-toes celebration.

Whether you're hosting an al fresco wedding or wish to bring the outdoors in to your venue, this stunning shoot should provide you with ample ideas to style up your day by taking nature as cue.

Adopting a colour palette of the day's golden hour of soft nudes with bronze and gold tones, the sultry shades of sun-up and sundown have been used to spellbinding effect throughout, from the dewy bridal make-up and model's bronzed complexion to the laidback, yet fabulously glam beach scene awash with rich, coastal-inspired details.

A statement rattan peacock chair provides the perfect throne for the bride, who presides over a platter style brunch set up over stacked wooden pallets and layered with a rich tapestry of textiles and textures. Brass candlesticks, glass lanterns and dried flower centrepieces sit atop a woven patterned rug, while a simple seating space comprising a washed grey linen blanket and embroidered woven cushions add to the sensuous scene.

Then there's the bride. Framed by a breath-taking hexagon arch adorned with spectacular florals featuring glorious dried grasses, she is the epitome of beach boho chic. A simple updo with a few flowing tendrils finished with floral hair pins and earrings adds a touch of elegance, while her second look of tousled free-flowing locks is the result of freshly emerging from the ocean, the salt and sea breeze gently licking skin and hair.

The seductive strapless lace fishtail gown oozes oceanic style, while the A-line - with its metallic threaded embroidery and light-as-air skirt - brings a floaty ethereal feel to the scene.
