I got married in the beautiful church of St Pol de Leon, which sits on the brow of the hill that tumbles into the tiny fishing village of Mousehole. We then moved onto the north coast, where our marquee enjoyed breathtaking views across St Ives Bay. Here, our party unfolded. It was wonderful: packed with eclectic entertainment; delicious food; fun, surprise touches, and an eye-popping riot of colour.

You see, I have a bit of a crush on colour - and that's why I particularly loved putting together this issue. From the fun bridal fashions and dazzling styled shoots to the bumper party planning features, these pages embrace a vibrant, playful mood.

WeddingsCornwall(14of19)

Our bridal fashion story, 'A Love Less Ordinary' sets the tone. With its bold colours and quirky features, new wedding venue Lower Barns was the perfect backdrop to shoot a selection of brilliantly individual fashions. From laidback bohemian styles accessorised with crazy-cool floral crowns to tea-length frocks teamed with feathers and cowboy boots, these party-ready looks are just the ticket for brides seeking something a little different.

The craze for colour continues in styled shoot 'Some Like it Hot', which is bursting with zesty colours and tropical touches for a paradisiacal party.

Food is a key ingredient of any decent party - and promises to be one of the most talked-about components of your wedding. Our features 'Food for Thought' and 'Soul Food' are brimming with creative ideas and flavoursome menu ideas for a delicious do, while 'Cake Couture' serves up sweet inspiration for a coolly creative wedding cake. And don't overlook your drinks menu. 'Raise a Glass!' covers everything from sourcing your drinks to styling your bar. Completing the party-planning inspiration, 'Ten Fun Ideas for a Unique Wedding Reception' is chock full of tips to wow your guests, while 'Got Wed' features eight couples who threw beautiful, personality-packed parties.

From the fashions to the food and all in-between, I hope these pages inspire you to create a dreamy day that you, too, can look back on with a rush of warm, happy memories.
