And, when it comes to romance, it’s difficult to resist the prospect of locking lives before an ocean backdrop. This issue, we celebrate the dream of a seaside wedding in Cornwall, whether it’s barefoot on the sands or overlooking a breathtaking cliffscape.

Our bridal fashion story, Call of the Ocean, sets the mood. With its golden sands, dramatic cliffs and views across the north coast, Lusty Glaze is the ultimate coastal wedding venue – and the perfect setting for capturing relaxed and coolly contemporary gowns for a beachside celebration. With the Cornish sunshine sparkling on the blue-green sea and warm sand beneath our feet, it was a dream way to spend a sunny June day. See the results on p.16.

If you’re seeking ideas to immerse your guests in a seaside vibe, For the Love of the Sea is packed with oceanic inspiration, from sea scented candles to shanty singers. The Cornish coast also features in our Got Wed section. Saskia and Sam, who married on the clifftops of Porthleven and filled their day with the colours of the coastline, had the most joy-filled wedding against shimmering seascapes. Then there’s Jeni and Andy, who savoured some precious moments on the sands of Holywell Bay after their vows, while Matt and Charlie headed to the sprawling sands of Godrevy for some breathtaking photographs.
