THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE

Weddings Cornwall Wed Magazine 6

When it comes down to it, this whole wonderful wedding journey - from the dress hunting and cake tasting to the number crunching and guest list deliberating - comes down to two short but oh-so significant words: I do. This issue, we celebrate the all-important words that make up a wedding.

Weddings Cornwall Wed Magazine 7

First of all, of course, there are the vows: the promises that bind you together in the contract of marriage. We explore the significance of these weighty words in 'Every Vow You Take.' Then there are the readings. Whether it's a funny poem, soul-stirring song lyrics or some poignant words fresh from your favourite Netflix series, 'More Than Words' looks at how to choose and deliver the perfect reading for your ceremony. And then we come to those words that send a ripple of terror down the spine: the speeches. Find the right words to convey the emotion and magnitude of the occasion - and maybe even a few belly laughs - with the help of our feature 'Speech Therapy.'

Of course, there's the usual feast of beautiful-beyond-words gowns. Captured at glorious new venue, Hendra Barns, on a sun-drenched summer's day, 'At First Blush' whips up sweet visions of dusky blush dresses, soft blooms and insanely pretty details. And we savoured another balmy day on the sands of Marazion beach shooting bridal fashion story 'Spirited Away' - the light, floaty gowns and exquisite headwear offer dreamy inspiration for those of you planning a wedding on the Cornish coast.

Speaking of which, our spectacular coastline features heavily in our Got Wed section this issue. From a 1950s' inspired party on the cliffs of the north coast to a spring celebration abloom with fabulous flowers on the south coast - not to mention a wonderful woodland wedding featuring bunnies, butterflies and bold colours - meet the couples who said their 'I dos' in brilliantly individual and stirringly romantic style.
