IT’S A CELEBRATION!

This issue marks the 15th anniversary of the Devon edition of Wed Magazine. Over 60 issues, we’ve revelled in the joy of inspiring engaged couples with the beauty of this extraordinary county and the talent of its wedding industry. We've crisscrossed across Devon, from north coast to south, from the tors of Dartmoor to the heights of Exmoor; we've visited venues, attended wedding shows, coordinated photo shoots and met so many brilliant suppliers. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to be here – 15 years, 60 issues and over 9,000 pages of wedding inspiration later – still doing what we love and being part of your journey through one of life’s most special chapters. Thank you to our wonderful readers and wedding industry friends for your support and being a crucial part of Wed’s story.

In keeping with the celebratory spirit, we have party inspiration galore in this issue. As the entertainment is a key ingredient of a party to remember, you’ll find expert advice for delighting your guests during each stage of your day, from the ceremony to the small hours, in Never a Dull Moment and some standout ideas for roaming entertainment in Party Starters.

Ensuring your guests are well fed and watered is also crucial for creating a fun-filled atmosphere. Good Taste serves up the latest food and drink trends, from sharing menus and champagne towers to food stations and dessert bars, while Good Mixers showcases some top cocktails to get the party into full swing. And, as every good party includes cake, you’ll find some seriously decadent inspiration in Sweet Art.

As if that wasn’t enough to fuel your party appetite, Got Wed features some inspiring and brilliantly individual weddings across Devon. From Pollyanna and Marcus’ epic midwinter celebrations at Huntsham Court and Rosie and Matt’s dreamy south coast wedding at Bigbury Bay to Alice and Chris’ woodland wedding (complete with glowstick after-party!) at Middle Coombe Farm, these love stories round off the issue in joyful style. What’s more, each wedding echoes the importance of throwing a party that celebrates your personalities. Let that mantra guide your choices and get set for a sensational, so-you celebration – one that your guests will be talking about long after the last espresso martinis have been supped.
