Winter Wedding Styling

Wow-worthy winter wedding style

Pick a warm and romantic palette of greys, pinks and reds and layer the luxe details for a winter wedding scene replete with wow factor

"My latest opulent table setup is inspiration for a warm romantic luxurious winter wedding," explains shoot stylist and photographer, Hannah Taylor.

"The purpose of this shoot was to show how wine coloured tablecloths match up beautifully with elegant greys, pinks and reds. I created this look by ruffling up grey silk to break up my deep coloured flower arrangement and wine coloured tablecloth. This added a contrast between the two whilst the silk's reflective surface compliments the silver foil stationery. I used grey cut velvet on my placemats adding to the luxury layers."

"I felt this styling needed period chairs, with not having any suitable I went with layering fabrics. I used deep red fabric draped over grey tied in place with grey ribbon. For December brides I finished them with a hint of Christmas, a bauble hanging arrangement."

"My French ornate candlesticks with black candles suited the romantic setting perfectly, adding dark period detail. Black also features in the antique-looking hand finished glassware. The silver black plates displaying my foil stationery and ring decoration bring in elements of silver and gold, complementing the cutlery. Wrapped presents are still a favourite at Christmas since they are simple, effective and the most traditional way of displaying place names and giving gifts."

"Flowers were mostly collected from my mum's flower garden, mixed with different shades of autumn foliage and berries. I used pink and red flowers as these are available throughout the winter."
