Perched above St Austell Bay on Cornwall’s south coast, Knightor is a charm-filled winery, where a rustic barn venue sits amidst four acres of orchards and wildflower meadows. As secluded as it is scenic, this styled shoot showcases the aesthetic of the venue alongside its natural surrounds, blended with a stylish touch of Scandinavian style. The result captures the enchantment of a Nordic-themed autumn, bringing Knightor’s sense of romance to beautiful and inspirational life.
An abundance of textured dried florals in earthy tones of brown, cream, oatmeal, mustard and russet red adorn everything from the tabletops to the cake and bouquet, and include eye-catching grasses with foliage accents to high-impact effect.
The wooden trestle table and chairs blend into their rural, tree-filled backdrop, where tapered candles in natural hues are dotted amongst low-level floral displays of miniature dried posies and clear glassware. A single cream semi-sheer table runner complements the table settings: simple affairs comprising woven place mats, gold-rimmed charger plates and matching napkins with hessian rings. The signage and lighting are also minimalistic, with a welcome board propped alongside wooden crates adorned by single vase arrangements, and festoon bulbs strung overhead.
The couple evoke laidback boho chic. The bride’s long-sleeved, leaf-embroidered gown is accessorised with a gold botanical crown and cowboy boots, while the groom’s sandy chinos and beige shirt are completed with a dried flower buttonhole; both personify the venue’s natural and arresting charm.
