Pops of purple painted the wedding celebrations of Jemma and Toby, who met during year ten classes at Launceston College. "We instantly clicked and became very good friends. It was in sixth form when our relationship got a lot closer and we spent more time together; it was then not long until we became a couple," recalls Jemma. Toby popped the question on their three-year anniversary, while taking a post-dinner stroll along the water's edge at Trebarwith Strand. "I was over the moon!" she reflects.

Planning began in earnest for their elegant wedding. Jemma chose a form-fitting Sophia Tolli gown, which she accessorised with a veil and shower bouquet blending shades of purple, lilac and mauve with ivory accents. Flanked by her bridesmaids who donned floor-sweeping purple dresses and carried pretty posies, which echoed the bridal bouquet, she took to the aisle of St Constantine Church. Toby's dad played 'The Wedding March' on the organ for her big entrance, while a reading from Jemma's granddad added to the personal dimension of the ceremony.

Sweeping into the heart of Tavistock in style via a sleek Beauford Tourer, Jemma and Toby made their entrance at The Bedford Hotel, where they mingled with their guests as they indulged in champagne and bucks fizz. After some sunny photos in the gardens and a series of heartfelt speeches, a poignant surprise lay in-store: Jemma's sister Anna had organised a video combining photos and clips of the newly-weds set to music, which, for Jemma, proved one of the day's most memorable moments. "It was very moving and made everyone emotional," she says.

A sumptuous three-course dinner included the likes of a crab and prawn starter, roast beef with all the trimmings and chocolate terrine; coffee and wedding cake fuelled guests for the evening celebrations, which kicked off with the first dance to Ellie Goulding's 'How Long Will I Love You?' Courtesy of BK Discos, a play list of floor-filling favourites ensured everyone danced the night away.

"The whole day was amazing and it is very hard to pick a favourite moment, but mine has to be walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing my husband-to-be, Toby, at the end waiting for me!" says Jemma, reeling in the memories of her sunny wedding.

"Relax, enjoy the day and cherish every second as it goes too quickly," she advises. "Also, book brilliant photographers to capture all your special moments without you realising they're being taken. And have the day filmed so you can watch it over and over again!"
